Chapter 9:

"Alright!!! My second badge!" I yelled excitedly. I was one step closer to getting all eight badges to compete in the Pokemon League. "Way to go, Tommy!" Loren said as she hugged me. "How can a Gym Leader only have one Pokemon to battle with?" I asked Kyle. "Well, it's kind of strange actually. You see, while I was sleeping last night, I was awakened by the noise that my Pokemon were making as they were...well...leaving the house. I went downstairs to find out where they were going, and I saw a strange red glow coming from a strange looking creature. It looked too weird to be a Pokemon." He replied.

"A strange creature? What did it look like?" I asked. "It sort of looked a little like Mewtwo, but it had wings, and it was about 8 feet tall." He said. As we were leaving, Kyle caught up with us. "Please. let me come with you...if you happened to run into my Pokemon, you wouldn't know they were mine, so i want to come with you just incase you do." There was no doubt in his eyes that we wouldn't run into his Pokemon, so I said okay.

A few hours later, while we were sitting down to dinner, Kyle turned his T.V. on. "We inturrupt this brodcast to bring you shocking LIVE footage of a battle being held outside of Hornbutch City. It seems some strange looking, never before seen Pokemon are raging at eachother with extreme anger. We advise all residents to stay away, or approach with extreme caution. Now back to our regular programming." The Reporter said. Immediately, I got up and ran out the door, speeding towards the field just outside Hornbutch.

When I got there, I saw them. The two Pokemon that were never before seen. They looked really tough, and they had incredible powers. One of them looked like a Mewtwo, but with wings, and it looked like it was 8 feet tall. That was the one that Kyle was talking about. The other one though, it had huge hands and a big head that sort of looked like a pumpkin. It had a big body, and scary looking eyes. "Hey Kyle!" I yelled as I ran back to the house. "That Pokemon that stole your Pokemon is one of the Pokemon fighting outside the city!" Kyle came rushing down, faster than i did.

We got there, only to notice the sruggling winged Pokemon being brutally beaten down by the Pokemon with the huge hands and a pumpkin head. When the battle was over, the huge handed Pokemon ran away, while the other Pokemon lay still on the ground, gasping for air. Kyle ran up to it, and got a good look at it's face. "Holy crap, that's one ugly mug ya got there bud." He said, as he put the Pokemon on his Lapras's back. A few hours later, the Pokemon finally awoke to find itself in the basement of the house, on a table while Kyle was trying to do everything he could to heal it.

"Where am I?" The creature said. "How did I get here?" We all looked at it. "It can talk." Loren said as she walked over to it. "Are you okay?" The Pokemon didn't answer, but stood up. He was one hell of a tall character. "Where is Vantire?" He said loudly. "He's gone...you were beaten." Kyle replied. "How could I let this happen? I'm supposed to be a lot stronger than him....thank you for helping me recover." After that, he just vanished "WAIT! Where are my Pokemon?!" Kyle yelled as he left.
