Chapter 11:

Never Letting Go

After resting at the Pokemon center for the night, Loren, Kamoda, Fesity and I awoke to Kyle, carefully watching the egg, hoping it would hatch. "The egg won't hatch for a few days, remember?" Loren said to Kyle. "I don't care." He replied. "I'm going to sit here until it hatches." "Okay." Both Loren and I said, as we got up and left out the Pokemon Center door. We went to the Kymeara Town Gym, where I would compete for the Shadow Badge. The Leader of this Gym was Hope, The Ghost Pokemon Trainer.

When I got there, the battle had already begun. Hope had out her Haunter, ready to battle, so I gave Fesity a try. "Haunter, use Night Shade attack!" Hope yelled, not even caring who she was battling. "Fesity, try a Barrier!" I said to Fesity with confidence. The Barrier blocked the Night Shade from hitting Fesity, so I thought this would be a good time to use a physical attack. "OKay Fesity, Psychic attack!" Fesity blasted a psychic attack at the Haunter, knocking it to the ground. "Haunter, return!" Hope yelled. "Go! Horribelle!"

"Horribelle?" I said to myself. "Let's get a look at this." My Pokedex told me that this Ghost Pokemon is able to freeze it's foe with a single touch of it's finger. it was the evolved form of Horribyte. "Okay Fesity, watch out for it's finger. Don't let it touch you." I said as I gave my net attack. "Try Earthquake."

Fesity slammed down on the ground, shaking the whole Gym. "Horribelle, use Invisibility!" Hope yelled. The Horribelle vanished into the air, not able to be seen. "Okay Horribelle, use Extremespeed attack!" Hope ordered, as the Pokemon came crashing down on Fesity.

Fesity went flying into the air and hit the wall, but bounced right back. "Try it again." Hope called out. Horribelle hit Fesity again, knocking it down. "Fesity, try and get up!" I said. "AGAIN!" Hope yelled furiously. This lady was crazy. It's like she wanted to kill Fesity. Horribelle came ragind down at Fesity, but we didn't know where from. Just then, Fesity went flying forward, getting a painful hit to the back. "Fesity!" I yelled. "Get up, please! You can do it! Don't let go of your courage, don't give up!" All of the sudden, Fesity jumped up, like it was never even touched.

"That's it! Now, use Foresight!" I yelled. The whole room turned red, and we could see the Horribelle. "Now Fesity, use Hyper Beam!" Fesity started glowing, and then it shot out a massive Hyper Beam at the Horribelle, nailing it and knocking it to the ground. "Horribelle, return!" Hope said. "You're not getting off that easy. Go, Photosythe!" "Holy crap, that's one big Ghost." Loren said. Fesity was too tired to battle another Pokemon. "Fesity, return!" I yelled, but Fesity refused to and wanted to battle no matter what. What was I going to do?
