Chapter 5:

A New Partner

"Okay Kamoda, Take Down attack!" I yelled, hoping to win. "Dodge it, Squirtmere!" She shouted. Kamoda threw itself at the Squirtmere, knocking it flying into the wall. "WHAT???!!! How could that be? your Kamoda has better speed than my Squirtmere! No matter, that's not the end of this battle." She threw out her second choice, Wartortle. "Okay Kamoda, sit this one out." I said. "Go! Sentret!" Wartortle used a full blast Water Gun attack on Sentret, but Sentret jumped out of the way using it's tail. "Sentret! Tackle attack!" Sentert flew down towards the Wartortle, hitting it with a full body Tackle. Wartortle was a little dazed, but it was okay. "Wartortle! Use Counter Strike!" Loren ordered. Wartorltle leapt into the air, speeding at Sentret, nailing him to the ground.

"Come on Sentret, get up. I know you can do it, I believe in you!" I said to it. Just then, My eyes opened wide with amazment. Sentret was evolving into Furret. "YES! Furret! Take Down attack!" Furret ran at Wartortle and hit it into the wall, knocking it out. "I don't believe it! I'm down to my last Pokemon." Loren said, worried that I might actually win. "I told you I'd beat you!" I replied. Her last Pokemon was the hardest of all. "Go! Feraligatr!" She shouted. Feraligatr??? I was ion for it. Suddenly, before the match continued, another explosion hit. This one was on the gym. "What the..." Loren said, looking up into the sky. "Who are you??!!". "HAHAHAHAAAA!!! I am Euicune, Legendary Pokemon Thief."

"Pokemon Thief? You're not getting any of our Pokemon" I said to him. "Loren, don't worry, I'll stop him. Go Kamoda, go Furret." "I want to help too. Go Feraligatr!" She yelled. Feraligatr used Hydro Pump attack, but missed Euicune, and he Euicune caught it. "No! Feraligatr!" Loren was devistated. "Please Tommy! Help my Feraligatr." I thought for a second about what I should do. "I know! Furret, Hyper Beam!" Furrent charged up, and blasted a powerful Hyper Beam attack at Euicune's Air Balloon, putting a huge hole through it. Feraligatr fell out hitting the ground in a fainted state.

Euicune went flying into the sky on his wrecked air balloon. "I'll be baaaaaack..." He said as his voice faded away. "Feraligatr! Loren cried out, "Are you okay? Tommy, thank you for rescuing my Feraligatr. Please, take this badge as my appriciation." "The Jade Badge? But I never beat you." "Yes you did," She said, "That Hyper Beam that your Furret used knocked my Feraligatr out of that air balloon, crashing it to the ground. That counts as a win." I was surprised. I guess my big talk saying i would win gave me more confidence.
