Chapter 13:
Painful Bond
"A special bond?" Loren said. "That's something you don't hear every day." I
was quite surprised to hear that, seeing as how I've only been doing this for
3 days. "So what?....am I like, special or something?" I asked the hag. "Oh
yes. You are a very special child. That Seal Reaf you have was created by you
ancient relative, and that means that the great power of that relative was passed
down to every fanily member until it got to you." She replied. "But beware,
the end will be near....soon the fate of the world will rest in your hands."
Loren and Kyle looked at me, and I looked at them. "Why does everybody tell
me that?!" I yelled. "How do you..." I was about to ask her something, but
she had mysteriously vanished. "That was freaky." Kyle said. We went on to
the next city, where I faught for the Dash Badge. This Gym was different. the
Gym Leader didn't fight the challangers, but he got other challangers to
fight each other. Who ever won would get the badge. I was up against a young
girl named Kaila. "Go Kamoda!" I yelled. "Go Skarmory!" Kaila yelled at the
same time. The battle started.
Kamoda used Flamethrower on Skarmory, but Skarmory flew out of the way.
"Skarmory, use Steel Wing!" Kaila yelled in rage. "Try another
Flamethrower!" I told Kamoda before it got hit. Kamoda used Flamethrower
again, and hit Skarmory dead on. Skarmory went down. "Skarmory, return! Go,
Mastromite!" Kaila yelled. "Use Bubble Beam!" I was about to give Kamoda an
oreder, when I turned around and noticed Loren and Kyle...making out in the
watcher's booth. I was devistated. Just then, I saw Kamoda fly in front of
me, knocked out. "Oh crap...now what?!" I said to myself. "This really sucks.
Oay Kamoda, return. Go Furret."
Furret came out and used Rollout attack on the Mastromite. Who ever won this
round won the battle, but I couldn't stop looking at Loren. A tear came to my
eye, then i got mad. "Okay Furret, don't hold back! Do whatever you have to
do to win this battle!" I yelled with furious rage. "Use Hyper Beam!" Furret
launched a huge Hyper Beam at the Mastromite and knocked it out. "Yes! We
won!" I yelled. "But of course none of my friends know that...great job Furret,
return."
