All of these cheats have been tested by the Webmasters.

South Sea Pokémon Trick

This trick enables you to catch Pokémon from the Trainers you've battled, and any grassy areas.

Requirements

You need to have HM02 (Fly) and a Pokémon in the current lineup who has learnt Fly.

You need to have HM03 (Surf) and a Pokémon in the current lineup who has learnt Surf.

You need some type of PokéBall to catch Pokémon.

Instructions

Go in the grassy area that you want a pokemon from, or battle a trainer.

Use Fly and go to Fuchsia City or Cinnabar Island.

Fuchsia City- Go to the south shore, use Surf, and surf down to the eastern shore of Seafoam Islands. If you encounter Tentacools, do NOT defeat them, run away instead.
Cinnabar Island- go to the east shore of Cinnabar Island, and use Surf.

When you reach either of these shores, use Surf, and go up and down the shoreline, where it is 1/2 land and water.

Eventually, you will encounter one of the Pokémon that the trainer or grassy area had. You can catch these just like normal Pokémon.

Stand on top of bushes

This glitch allows you to coincide with the position of the Cuttable bushes.

Requirements

You need to have HM01 (Cut) and a Pokémon in the current lineup who has learnt Cut.

Instructions

Go to any bush, and use Cut on it.

Move yourself so you are positioned right where the bush was.

Save your game.

Turn off your Gameboy, and turn it back on again.

When you continue your game, you will be sharing the same place with the bush.

The Phantom PC

This glitch allows you to use a PC that doesn't show up on the screen.

Requirements

You need to have gotten to Celadon City.

Instructions

When you are in Celadon City, go to the building that is supposedly a hotel, where the receptionist will tell you that the hotel is full.

Walk all the way over to the east wall of the lobby.

Move up 2 squares, and press the A button. You should be positioned about where you normally would be along the wall in the Pokémon Centers.

If you are in the right position, the normal PC menu will pop up.

Unlimited Items

This allows you to have a virtually unlimited quantity of any item.

Requirements

You need HM02 (Fly) and HM03 (Surf) equipped on Pokémon in the current party.

Instructions

Go to Viridian City, and talk to the old man in the northeast corner of the town. Say no to his question, and watch him catch a Weedle.

Fly to Cinnabar Island.

Put the item you want to be duplicated in the sixth slot on your items list (to move items press select and press select again where you want the item).

Surf up and down the east shoreline (the one nearest to Seafoam Islands) until you encounter a creature.

You may encounter regular Pokémon, Pokémon with Levels over LV100, and two glitches named 'M' or 'MISSINGNO.', which look like a bar code or a scrambled up glitch.

If you encounter either glitch, attack them and defeat them. Do NOT catch them, as they may mess your game up. Even if you see either glitch, the PC Hall of Fame will turn really wierd if you have beaten the Elite 4 already.

The item in the sixth slot should now have a symbol instead of numbers, which means there are over 99 of that item. You can use this for Masterballs (to catch all Pokémon), Nuggets (To get rich), and anything else you want.
