.::. Pokémon Gold & Silver / Catching the Legendary Pokémon .::.

Are you stuck at catching the three legendary Pokémon Suicune, Raikou, and Entei? Well, this guide here will help you catch them!

1. Once you've met one of the Pokémon, you can check their current location by selecting the "Area" in your Pokédex. Unfortunatly, these three are always on the move so when you get to their spot on the map, they're probably long gone. The best way is to stay where you are and let them come to you.

2. Whenever you go from route to route, or even inside a building, each legendary Pokémon will move to another route in a random direction. Fly to a city, and check if any are near. If they are one or two routes away, go to that route and hopefully they will come to you or stay in that spot. If they go somewhere else, fly again to change their locations.

3. Use any kind of Repel, but you should buy a few dozens when you start. This will prevent any wild Pokémon except for the Legendary Pokémon. If you don't use it, meeting one of them are fairly slim.

4. To make sure they don't move anywhere, put them to sleep. Mean Look is what you are wanting to do, but all three do have Roar. You get one shot at them, and plus they are pretty fast. If they do run away, try, try, again!

5. When they are asleep, start weakening them. False Swipe and Night Shade are useful since you won't K.O. the Pokémon or get any critical hits. Like all the other legendary ones, once they're gone, they're gone. When they do run away when you weakened them, the next time you meet them, they'll have the same health.

6. If you do have the Masterball, you might as well use it on one of them. Lugia and Ho-oh aren't moving anywhere. It also saves you the trouble of doing the procedure of sleep and attack. For the balls like Ultra and Great, don't bother using it when they are at full health. When they are at a sliver of health, use a Fast or Heavy Ball.

7. If you didn't meet any of them yet, move around until you do. Use Repel and go with your bike around Johto. You'll run into them eventually.

They won't be learning the best moves until around level 70. They are ones like Fire Blast, Hydro Pump, and Thunder. They are great because they are 3 pure types and don't have as much weaknesses as the 3 legendary birds. Good luck on capturing them!
