.::. Pokémon Gold & Silver / About Gold & Silver .::.
These two versions were the most awaited ones. A hundred Pokémon was added, and another side was created, called Johto! This game is 3 years in the future from the Red/Blue/Yellow versions, so you’d expect a lot of changes. You start off as a different character named Hiro and you start in a town called New Bark Town.

One of the coolest things in Gold & Silver is that you have an internal clock inside your game! The game cartridge holds data 24 hours a day and when you play, there's morning, day, and night and can even set days like Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday! You don't even have to set the time everytime you play! If you messed up on the time, you can always reset it by looking for your password to change the time.
You get an awesome PokéGear! Talk to trainers when you exchange phone numbers and talk to your Mom when you want her to save money for you and even talk to Prof. Elm! You get a build in Radio after you win it in Goldenrod City. Tune in to radio programs and listen to your favorite Pokemon tunes.
You also get a bigger more organized backpack. You can carry all of your TMs and they tell you what they contain in them. Store all of your Pokéballs in your front pocket and your key items like a Bicycle in them. You can go to SEL when you press A of the key items so where you press Select, you'll automatically use it! You're other items are held in the other pockets and those items are like Antidote, Bitter Berry, and so on. You'll barley need to deposit any items into the PC.
Gold & Silver allows you to give Pokémon items to hold. Most items enhance your Pokémon's techniques and some just don't do anything.
There are colored versions of Pokémon and they are super hard to find. There's one that you can automatically meet and that's the Red Gyarados at the top of Mahogany Town, in the Lake of Rage. There's also a new feature, to be able to breed any Pokémon, and another way of saying it is that you can duplicate them, starting by the egg stage. You need to find a matching pair first.
There's baby Pokémon, like pre-evolved ones that you've never even known that a Pokémon could have! Some are like Pichu, a baby Pikachu, a Magby, a baby Magmar, a Smoochum, a baby Jynx, a Tyrogue, a baby Hitmonchan, Hitmonlee, and Hitmontop, an Elekid, a baby Electabuzz, a Cleffa, a baby Clefairy, an Igglybuff, a baby Jigglypuff.. that's about it.
There's a new feature, Mystery Gift, and what it is, is that you use the connecter on top of your Gameboy Color, (it's black) and you put it about 1 and a half inch away from another Gameboy Color's. You must go to Goldenrod City and visit the little girl on the second last floor of the Goldenrod City Mega Mart. She introduces you to Mystery Gift. Then an option appears at the begining of the game. You can do Mystery Gift only once with your one friend everyday, but you can do it up to five times if you have five friends. You get a prize each time. These could be items, dolls, game systems, beds, posters, and more, just for your bedroom!
